TOP TEN Things To Do In/Around Madrid SharOB Style:
10. Bull Fight. In Spanish stlye bull fighting they kill the bull in the ring after a series of tactics to weaken the bull. Definately good to go to once, but how many times can you see a bull get killed.
9. Eat Paella. But do not go to Museo de Hamon to have it, instead have...Bocadillos Mixto (Ham and cheese sandwiches, they sell so much that they have the pig legs hanging all over the restuarante). Spain is known for there ham and fresh bread...and this place has arguably the best bocadillos.
8. Eat Espada Chips...gotta support the family name. The ESPADA company also sells sunflower seeds (we are not only restricted to one plaza/metro stop...we are past and present!!).
7. Visit Toledo...but make sure you do not go when it is pouring rain... : (
6. Prado Museum, which unlike many other renown museums it can be done in one day and it is free every night!!
5. Visit Segovia...and make sure you stay for the sunset (which is after 9pm in April)
4. Drink Sangria...as Shar would say "in Spain, it flows like water".
3. Flamenco Show...you just have to see it live to fully appreciate it.
2. Eat Churros con Chocolate...simply delicious. Make sure you drink the remaining chocolate!!
1. Go to a Getafe vs. Bayern Munich UEFA second leg quarterfinal game...that ends 3-3 after double overtime!!!!!
