We saw rain!

This week we got to visit a ship called Logos Hope with our church group (even though it's a small percentage of the entire church, you can see how diverse we are). Anyways, the ship is a a Christian ministry that travels all over the world and they came to Abu Dhabi! It's so fascinating how committed the people are on the ship..if you are interested in learning more, check out http://www.omships.org

They are headed to Sri Lanka and we hope to see them again when we are over there for Christmas!

We have also got the chance to spend time on the beach. The water is finally cool (unlike the room temperature water we experienced when we were 1st here).

We also celebrated David's Birthday this weekend! Happy 27th David!

Guess which boys are doing Movember...

We went to Emirates Palace for the first time. Also, Lucy and David announced today that they are expecting their first child!!! We are very excited for them!

Oh! And P.S.-You wouldn't believe it! We saw rain for the very first time here! And guess what??!? We got out of school at 11:00 because of it. We love rain!!

Switzerland!

We had the most amazing time in Switzerland! A HUGE thank you to Stefan, Sonya, Asha & Viola for everything! It was very hard choosing which photos to use because we did so much and once again had the best weather. We went hiking, a pumpkin patch, got to see snow and beautiful sights..and ate a whole lot! We really enjoyed every minute!

Denmark Part 2

I finally uploaded our pics from our cameras..Here are some more soccer pics! We got to paint our own banner and get face paint for free!

We took a 3 hour train ride to a city called Aarhus to see our favorite band from New Zealand- Fat Freddy's Drop...and in true Shar fashion we get to meet some of the band members. That's me with DJ Fitchie. (I told him we came all the way from the east coast and NY got a shout out before the show!)

Biking around Copenhagen...we got beautiful weather to see the sights!
